It’s finally here!
Mid-week days never go as quickly as the two at the weekend…sigh. I find myself asking, “Is it Monday already?” so I’ve decided to commit to making the most out of this weekend. I don’t want it to feel like it has passed me by in the blink of an eye.
The best thing is that everyone is united, there is no single human that doesn’t like weekends. I mean you can stay in your PJs all day, you can be completely unproductive, you can meet with friends and family or have a Netflix binge. There isn’t anything which is considered unacceptable, nor is there a time limit on anything we do. It’s space to unwind, switch off from the mayhem which comes with the working week and put that Good for Enterprise app away.
I have decided to set myself some goals because they help me live my life to its fullest. Maximising life is important to me and although they aren’t ground breaking goals to achieve this weekend, they are things which help inspire, motivate and well basically, make me feel good. Now isn’t that what life is all about?
My Weekend Goals:
WAKE AT 7AM
There is something about waking early knowing you don’t have to go anywhere or do anything if you don’t want to. By the time I have had my kick ass caffeine, had some brekkie and caught up on my social media feeds it’s still pre 9am! I still have a whole day to go.
I realise that when I exercise I feel much better, about anything and everything really. Especially when I am running or spinning. This weekend I am aiming to go for two long runs, smash my steps target and clear every single one of those cobwebs for a refreshed mind.
HAVE AN AWESOME BRUNCH
I love seeing my friends, they are a healthy and important part of our lives. I am also an immense foodie and partial to the odd brunch so why not catch up with one of the girls for some time out.
I have been much better at this of late. It’s hard to juggle working with blogging as it’s basically two full time jobs. The best way to manage is to think about preparing material in advance. I really enjoy grabbing a pot of coffee, synching my images and disappearing into my laptop. I am loving my new MacBook Pro, it’s a tad sexy.
FINISH MY BOOK
I have been reading American Psycho which was lent to me by a colleague. Not only do I feel bad for having it way longer than I should, I actually do love reading and don’t take the time out often enough. For me, it’s total escapism and instills complete relaxation.
On and off for months I have seen the Happiness Planner on Instagram and had many arguments in my head about whether I should make the purchase. I am a stationery addict so the luxurious leather and rose gold binder (and pen!) was not helping. I am a marketers dream for anything which will help me have a happier and more fulfilling life so what the heck, I bought it! Time now to open it up and get cracking!
What awesome things do you have planned for the weekend? Please share, I am always looking for inspiration! Have a great weekend!
So hey you, yes you..I want to thank you for reading my post. Whether you’ve stuck around since the beginning of my journey or whether you’re new to my blog, thank you for reading and supporting. I genuinely appreciate it.
