Fashion has to reflect who you are, what you feel at the moment. Where you’re going.
My fashion obsession began as a nipper, tottering around in my mum’s heels and adorning my body with as many items of jewellery that my little hands could manage to grab.
You can never have enough clothes right? I have a constant statement running through my mind, “I really need new clothes,” and I can’t see that changing anytime soon. Plus in my defence, I did open my closet this week and came to the conclusion that it was essential I adapt to the forthcoming Spring/Summer collections. Who’s with me?
I’m as much of a fan of high street shopping as I am my designer favourites. Fashion is fashion at the end of the day and is even more memorable by the way each individual carries it. It is an expression of who you are.
Each one of us has a unique style, from the type of clothing we wear to our accessories and hairstyles. I have to admit that one of my go-to colours is black, not because I’m morbid but for me, it exudes class and teamed with pearls, oversized sunglasses and a striking handbag an in vogue, chic and elegant look is produced.
But black is currently banned for new purchases. I have set myself a challenge as yes it’s slimming and exudes sophistication but spring is fast approaching and I am yearning pastels and block colours which you will find in abundance in the stores right now.
Being a fashion bunny I am always picking up new items, here are some of my favourites this week:
I discovered this little beauty in the Warehouse sale, powder blue is perfect teamed with jeans and stilettos. The flowy detail in the sleeves is flattering for the office or an effortless casual look.
Tees and jeans are one of my ultimate favourite combinations. A good quality white tee is something I am always on the hunt for and whilst celebrating Year of the Dog what better way to immerse myself in the celebrations than wearing the Olive Tee from VB.
Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak
There are some awesome colour combinations in Zara right now and one of my favourites is this mustard top with its round neckline, large asymmetric button and flared long sleeves. A citified ensemble with high waisted trousers suitable for the office and an easy stylish way to complete a weekend look.
What items have you been buying lately? I would love to see them!
So hey you, yes you…I want to thank you for reading my post. Whether you’ve stuck around since the beginning of my journey or whether you’re new to my blog, thank you for reading and supporting. I genuinely appreciate it.
