Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world
My name is Nicci and I suffer from a serious shoe addiction. I think I may have a problem.
For me they are items to be adored, they can hold their own in a display cabinet and can be the ultimate transformation of elegance. I am known to spend as little as £5 or as great as £1000 on a pair of shoes. They are my size 5 investments.
But pleasure and pain, are two words to describe the impact shoes have on me. My shoe collection is quite frankly enormous, some may say ridiculous and I am always on the lookout for the next beautiful item of leather to slip on my feet to complete an outfit. And that feeling when carrying my newly purchased heels out of the store…you just can’t beat it!
But on occasion, there is a slight downside which is where the pain element comes in. They can sometimes rub, those dam blisters! But is the pain worth it? Of course, it is. And what is usually the main cause, heels or flats? That’s a whole new debate.
Which do you prefer? Are you a heels or flats person? I have to say that from not being seen dead in flats for many years, I mix it up a lot now. I tend to wear them for the work commute and quickly whip out the stilettoes upon arrival to the office.
Regardless as to whichever you prefer, shoes give you confidence. For me, it used to be the higher the heel the greater the confidence but now it is more about putting the right finishing touches to my outfit and teaming them up with a good handbag are what I love the most about my look. A new pair of shoes can give the same boost to having a new hairstyle don’t you think?
There have been three recent additions to my shoe closest, ones which I have to say only enter the pleasure category as there has been zero pain, winners!
I am about to click ‘place order’ on another new pair I have my eye on. I actually can’t stop thinking about them, I will share on Instagram once they arrive so stay tuned!
What have you been buying lately?
And what do you prefer, flats or heels?
So hey you, yes you…I want to thank you for reading my post. Whether you’ve stuck around since the beginning of my journey or whether you’re new to my blog, thank you for reading and supporting. I genuinely appreciate it.
