Following recent visits to both London Fashion Week and The Other Art Fair, being surrounded by walking creativity has ignited my inspiration and motivated me to embrace my inner flair.
Just by artists appearances, their colourful clothing choices prove that this ingenuity is almost a gift. Having the knack of carrying off an item which looks awesome on them, would look idiotic on me. But that is just their clothing, let alone how they express their incredible style on canvas. But fear not, if you feel like you’re not one of these gifted individuals oozing imagination, it doesn’t mean you’re doomed to a life of boring humdrum!
Being a blogger means I’m constantly creating new content, whether it be through building my image portfolio or just noting down ideas but there are times when I either lose my mojo or even suffer from the attack of the blinking cursor and no matter how hard I try, writer’s block seems to have it in for me.
Creativity is intelligence having fun

Whether you’re suffering from an artfulness snag or generally feel like you’re not blessed with the cultured gene, it’s important to remember that there are ways to boost this yourself. Starting with the things which inspire you.
Here are some winning techniques:
EXERCISE
Ok so I am not professing that exercising is like a magic wand, but it does help. Even when you don’t feel like it. It helps free the mind, concentrating on running a certain route, walking to a particular place or getting through that gruelling spin class, all help to divert your mind from the tedious or maybe tiresome daily routine. The endorphins are released allowing a clearer mind.

DO WHAT YOU LOVE
One of my favourite pastimes is shopping with the girls. Noone else understands how that button can transform a blouse, or who is prepared to have a full blown conversation about a particular pair of shoes I am considering buying. When I need a pick me up, it’s my go-to. Doing the things we love makes us more engaged and productive. Do you ever feel like it’s a chore when you’re doing something you love? Of course not. Try making more time for the things you enjoy, whether it be seeing family, going to the movies, reading or going on holiday and notice the difference.

ASK YOURSELF, “IF I COULD DO ANYTHING WITH NO RESTRICTIONS WHATSOEVER, WHAT WOULD IT BE?”
I love this question, it’s a point of reflection. It reminds me that I actually have no restrictions in my life. All those blockers, you know little miss critical and the worries that manifest in our heads, they aren’t real. Asking yourself this question allows you to refocus and zoom in on your dreams and who says you can’t achieve them?

SPEND SOME TIME ALONE
Sometimes calming the mind and shutting out the noise can help ground us and slow down the busy minds, that external chatter which can often disturb our desire to be free. Spending some time alone to embrace the solitude, allows your brain to unwind and reconnect with your desires. Don’t be afraid to unplug from the internet of things, maybe spend some time meditating and having the ability to say no to others and yes to yourself.

Creativity is contagious, pass it on!
How do you reignite your creativity? I would love some more ideas!
