Fun In The Sun With Bioderma

What a summer!

Usually, the British summer lasts a day if we are lucky. Let’s be honest, we aren’t renowned for having the best weather yet 2018 seems to have smashed that out of the park! It hasn’t been as hot as this since 1976, the year I was born (yep, completely given my age away there).

Living in flipflops, dresses and aviators is my idea of heaven and the beautiful weather has encouraged life upon rooftop bars, plentiful BBQs at home and picnics in the park. Outdoor living has become more appealing and whilst it’s both healthy and beneficial to do so, it is important that we remember to protect and nourish our skin.

With our busy lifestyles, it’s all too easy to head out for a brisk walk or nip to the shops and forget to apply sun cream because we aren’t ‘actually’ sunbathing. I’m also a little fussy when it comes to suncream, I like the oil based ones, mind over matter really where I think somehow oil makes me more tanned. But some oil based creams are greasy and actually feel oily, you know the ones which are too sticky? Finding the right suncream for you can be a case of trial and error but one of my favourite range is Photoderm by Bioderma.

I have super sensitive skin, any product can cause a complete catastrophe on my skin so a sensitive skincare range is crucial, especially when I am looking for an oil-based tanner.

Photoderm Bronz Dry Oil

Slippery sunbathing be gone! This dry oil can be applied to both dry and wet skin, soaking into the skin without leaving any sticky residue behind. Naturally, you need to reapply after swimming and on frequent occasions throughout the day to ensure maximum protection but it feels more like a luxurious moisturiser with a beautiful scent.

Photoderm Bronz Spray

This matte, milky, fragranced cream is absorbed beautifully into the skin and again without any greasy residue. The fact that it has an invisible texture makes it a perfect daytime sun protection which is both hypoallergenic and waterproof.

Photoderm Max Aquafluid

If you are looking for the ultimate high protection this will be a favourite, perfect for fair skin. When I think of maximum protection suncream it is usually thick and a nightmare to rub in but this is a pleasantly light liquid which is almost like water. It doubles up as a lavish moisturiser and again leaves zero residues.

What I love the most about this range is that I can use it upon heading to work or an afternoon out with the girls and I am not smelling like I have just left the sun lounger. It can be used as a daily moisturiser whilst preventing sunburn.

…and don’t forget
  1. Apply sun protection before exposing your beautiful skin to the rays
  2. Apply regularly throughout the day especially after pool dipping
  3. Drink plenty of water

Now go have fun in the sun!
