There’s something about Chelsea.
A stylish hangout, oozing chic and in vogue trends, it’s no wonder I love roaming across town on a weekend to meander around the boutiques and catch up with the girls over lunch.
The latest spot to don my designer ass is Bluebird, exuding a bright airy interior with the sound of clinking glasses. Ah, nirvana.
The combination of stainless steel, plush leather, deluxe cushions and draping greenery suggests a modern yet serene and informal vibe.
Whilst the pop of a cork on a champagne bottle gets my absolute attention, the opportunity to sample a new menu is just as captivating. And let me assure you, the dishes here taste as good as they sound. The menu is simple and affordable, complimented by delicately seasoned and attractive plating.
Our starters were refreshing, surprisingly light and beautifully presented. What’s not to love, right?
I’m a huge roast dinner junkie, it’s almost impossible for me to ignore this option on a menu. I gravitate towards it and no matter how much I try to deviate and try something different, I fail. Monumentally.
I think it brings back comforting childhood memories of my nanna and grandad, all the trimmings sufficient for literally, the five thousand. It was how we spent Sundays. But now, the best bit of enjoying a Sunday roast is selecting a welcome location and no washing up!
I’ll take all the Sunday comforts that I can before I get the attack of the Smonday.
The moment when Sunday stops feeling like a Sunday and the anxiety of Monday kicks in
Bluebird’s roast dinner most definitely met the McShane standards. The trimmings were classical and superb, I highly recommend. What better way to take joy in a Sunday than to spend it relishing in delicious food and excellent company.
In addition to the divine flavours, the service was impeccable. Proud and friendly staff looked after us at the right moments having a knack of appearing only when we needed them.
Bluebird is an ideal location to hang loose and enjoy an indulgent treat. Followed by a spot of shopping of course!
