I love weekends!

We all crave those two days where we can toss aside the workday routine, indulge in long brunches and generally do nothing, if we don’t want to.

I enjoy planning things to see and do, new experiences and the opportunity to create new memories. This weekend for me was not only relaxing and invigorating but also surprising. Let me share it with you.

SATURDAY

I was meant to have yoga in the park but it was cancelled due to poor weather, no bother I am down to attend next weekend instead. I kinda felt grateful that I was awake early so I could appreciate how quiet Greenwich actually can be before the hustle and bustle begins. An early morning Vanilla Chai at Peyton and Byrne might become a regular weekend thing.

The afternoon began in style with pre-dinner fizz and cocktails with the girls whilst putting the world to right.

Then to satisfy my Asian food craving, we headed to Cha Chaan Teng in Holborn for some comforting yet modern plates of paradise. If you haven’t yet been, this is a restaurant to add to your list. Think generous portions, good value for money and food with a twist and you will not be disappointed.

SUNDAY

What better way to start a Sunday than with a long lie in. I am a morning person, awake before 7am most days so I relish that additional sleep when I can get it. I love a good nosey around Greenwich Market at the weekend so with an excuse to visit my personal jeweller Maree I spent the entire afternoon being a market trader and meeting an awesome lady who read my Tarot cards completely unexpectedly. I was transfixed with the messages from the cards and felt strangely settled. Have you ever had your cards read? How did it go? I am intrigued by this and I am looking forward to a more detailed reading.

The best part about living in London is where I live, I really have found a hidden gem. The camaraderie of the market is addictive, the distinct street food smell drifting through the air and the various artists entertaining passers by, all add to the Greenwich vibe.img_0198

And now the weekend is nearly over but hey Poldark is on TV, there is always a silver lining!

How did you spend your Sunday?

  1. It looks like a perfect weekend. My mum actually took a course studying tarot reading and she has read mine a few times. It is really interesting.

      • I have always found it intriguing as well. My mum has always been spiritual so I have been too. It takes along time to study but I wouldn’t mind learning one day. xxxx
