No way…
That’s seven months of 2017 gone, poof! Just like that! How the hell did that happen?
It feels like only a few weeks ago I moved to London from Singapore, you can read about that here. Time really does fly and the importance of relishing every moment of our days has hit me. Every person you speak to, every action you take, the things you do for people, the experiences you have, everything you eat…are all a myriad of memories.
I don’t know about you but I don’t want the remaining four months of 2017 to go by with the blink of an eye again. So as I wave goodbye to a summery July, I am welcoming with open arms the beginning of fall, August.
July was a month of re-discovery, of myself. I got to know myself better, understanding what truly makes me happy, where my strength comes from, the beliefs I stand by and what I will and will not compromise. I think this is all part of living a pretty awesome life, I like everyone else only has one life, why do we waste precious time feeling naff or allow hours to go by without enjoying every single moment?
Your mind is a positive thing. When you fill it with positive thoughts, your life will start to change
I love feeling happy. If I wake in the morning or have times throughout the day where I don’t feel so, then it frustrates me. I begin to question what is the reason for feeling that way. We all have two sets of feelings, either good or bad, positive or negative. Anything which makes us feel anything other than great, joyous, delighted or upbeat really shouldn’t be in our lives. Life is meant to be abundant, it is there to be enjoyed. I remind myself of this whenever anything is in my space which causes those bad or negative feelings.
It’s important to reflect on what makes you happy and if you can, go do it! For me, in July this was returning to where I feel at home, Singapore. Let me share some of those happy moments with you:
THE MOST AMAZING DIM SUM, WONTON & EVERYTHING ELSE FEAST AT DIN TAI FUNG
MY EAST COAST WALK
MY LOCAL HAWKER STORE, SIN HOI SAI
MY FIRST CHEF’S TABLE EXPERIENCE
FINALLY EATING CHAN HON MENG’S MICHELIN STAR HAWKER FOOD
Followed by enjoying Kopi, a local coffee…
AND FINALLY, ONE OF MY ULTIMATE SINGAPORE FAVE’S…SATAY STREET
I felt comfortable, happy, free to be me and of course I immersed myself (pretty much head first) into as much of the local food as I could. It was great to be home!
August is going to be awesome, I can feel it!
What things do you have planned this month that are making you feel happy?

So hey you, yes you..I want to thank you for reading my post. Whether you’ve stuck around since the beginning of my journey or whether you’re new to my blog, thank you for reading and supporting. I genuinely appreciate it.
Always makes me think of the good things in life and how lucky I am.
I agree, I think when we are grateful for what and who we have we live a much more fulfilled life and attract more of that into our lives.
