Post-War Vibes and Cocktails at Cahoots, London

Close your eyes…

It’s 1940 and you’re in a dimly lit bar sipping ravishing cocktails wearing your favourite tea dress whilst toe-tapping to the sing-a-longs around the piano.

This era of post-war glamour is still alive and kicking today, underneath the busy streets of Soho, London. Cahoots is set in a disused tube station, not a real one but it is a damn good replica.

It’s a relaxed vibe and no one is glued to their phones. There is no signal down there which for me adds to the vintage era. Mobile phones weren’t invented, people had to actually talk to each other!

The cocktail menu is extensive with an emphasis on rum and gin-based drinks, very 1940s and the best bit…they are served in classic cups, hip flasks and mugs.

Now bear with me as the pictures are the best I could get them in a dimly, cosy lit bar but hopefully you can see how awesome they are!

This is an awesome spot for date night, relaxing with friends and just generally wanting to escape from 2017.

It’s a must to add to your list so cheer up chaps, it’s Friday go and head over!
