Things I Believe In This Week: YSL Touche Eclat, Blur Primer & Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream

Great skin is always in.

For as long as I can remember I seemed to have an obsession with body moisturiser. From head to toe on a daily basis I lathered the stuff all over my skin and I still do it now, every day, no matter what.

As I have become older those damn wrinkles and crow lines have become more of a feature. They are more noticeable. I don’t want them to be. As our days become busier, the nights become darker much earlier and for me, travelling each week means fighting dry skin on flights and a dedicated skincare routine is needed more than ever before. Even if it’s to ward off those dark circles which try to sneak in and set up home under my eyes.

As some of you know from one of my previous posts, I follow a Liz Earle daily skincare routine which keeps a fresh, glowy appearance. But in addition to this, I have three superb prized products which are the things I believe in this week.

Be good to your skin. You’ll wear it every day for the rest of your life
YSL Touche Eclat

Dark circles be gone with you! I am addicted to this miracle highlighting pen. It’s been years since I have used this, not because I fell out of love with it but I’m a marketers dream and have since tried a million others that I kinda forgot about it. I know, how bad. But travelling each week for work and feeling a tad sleepy, I needed a miracle. It was almost winking at me in duty-free and I thought maybe this might get rid of those bin bags which are starting to make themselves at home under my eyes. And how glad am I that I bought it. I should never have stopped using it. It is, quite frankly a phenomenon.

YSL Blur Primer

The pre-makeup first step…apply the primer. I again have tried many of these but currently, YSL’s Blur Primer is my ultimate favourite. I love that you only need a pea-sized amount and the non-greasy, non-oily serum simply dissolves and sinks into your skin leaving a soft, closed pore base ready to apply foundation. A tube of this is going to last a lifetime due to the small amount you need.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream

This little beauty has been a much-loved serum of mine for some time. So much so that my other half asked me once if I had botox! For a guy to notice, it must be a bloody good product right? Again only a small amount is needed but I apply a little more than that to my crow lines and dab underneath the eye. It almost fills in the lines, a stunner of a product!

So there you have it, my beloved items of the week.

What things do you believe in this week?
