We have been decorating ourselves for years.

Adorning our skin with various items of jewellery not only completes a wonderful outfit and can change the way we feel about ourselves but it is also an opportunity to wear sentimental pieces which have been given or bought with love and can give us a sense of belonging.

The jewellery industry continues to grow as fashion evolves and bewitching items are advertised, pulling us into the stores. I am to jewellery as fish is to chips. A match made in heaven.

So on moving to Greenwich a year ago I discovered the most divine and captivating jewellery collection, designed by Marie Thompson of Maree London.

I always dreamed of having personalised bespoke jewellery and Maree London provides just that, on my doorstep. This week saw the launch of Maria’s new Greenwich studio where she showcased some of her treasures.

Her collections are made of precious metals, precious stone & gemstones and each item can be adjusted to suit the individual.

Her five collections, Flower, Stunning Stone, Reeomega, Ether and Earth are exquisite body candy that you will want to get your hands on!

Here are some of my favourites…

In addition to her stunning pieces you couldn’t find a nicer designer who understands exactly what you are looking for and on occasion can just fix or amend an item of jewellery there and then! Not many places I have visited are prepared to do that. She is a gem and I love nipping over for a chat to Greenwich Market (ok and to buy the odd piece that I feel would be a crime not to purchase) where she proudly displays her work every weekend.

Read more about Maria and you can follow Maree London on Instagram here, Twitter here, Facebook here and Pinterest here.

Jewellery is a very personal thing…it should tell a story about the person who’s wearing it

Check out the collection at Maree London, there are just a few more days to find that perfect gift for a special someone. I promise, you won’t be disappointed.

Congratulations Maria on your new studio!
