My First Birchbox

I’ve joined the Birchbox party!

A box of surprises each month giving you an opportunity to sample beauty products on the market. And let’s face it there are millions of them so how would you know about them all?

And how many of us have bought something, didn’t like it and left it sat in the bathroom cupboard unused. What a waste.

Upon subscribing you complete your beauty profile which tells Birchbox everything from your complexion to your hair, personal style and much more in between. This helps them select products that they think you will want to try. They will then package it all up in a pretty box and send them to you.

Depending upon your subscription you can gain discounts (between 10-15%) on samples you have tried and you can even choose a product or box design each month for a more personalised experience.

The monthly subscription (which you can cancel at any time) costs £10 (+ £2.95 P&P).

  • It saves the time of searching for new products and you can do it from the comfort of your own home or on the go, whichever works for you.
  • It’s an opportunity for trial and error and a way to learn about new products in the market.
  • Perfect travel-sized items and being a weekly business traveller this is a winner.
  • It’s easy and it’s fun, I love being surprised at what products will arrive!

Five products, February’s included:

THE BEAUTY CROP – Eyeshadow Trio in Love You So Latte
LORD & BERRY – Concealer Stick in Beige
PERCY & REED – Quite Frankly Flawless Finishing Polish
LUSETA – Coconut Milk Hair Mask
COWSHED – Cow Pat Hand Cream

See what I mean? These are products I would probably not have tried or even seen in the shops. We either have our go-to favourites or don’t even know where to start in the beauty world as there really are just so many to choose from.

COWSHED Cow Pat Hand Cream – it is luxuriously moisturizing, non-greasy and left a silky soft feeling with, wait for it…no sticky or oily residue. Perfect for the office when you’re trying to pick up a pen and from preventing slippery keyboards!

March’s Birchbox has arrived…stay tuned!

  1. That’s how it works!! I didn’t realise you told them that much about your complexion and the products where based upon this. I thought everyone got the same thing and it would be more like a lucky dip each month! £10 a month is quite reasonable to!! Are you happy with it so far? Xx
