Rooftop Dining At Nomad, Marrakech

There is no sincerer love than the love of food
~George Bernard Shaw

Marrakech is renowned for its street food and stalls selling freshly squeezed orange juice. The scrumptious aroma of various cuisine fills the air, especially in Jemma el Fna square.

But a few floors up there is a whole new world of dining where you can look across Marrakech with incredible, uninterrupted 360 views and there is something soothing about hearing the call to prayer travel across the rooftops.

Let me present to you, Nomad, situated alongside the Rahba Lakdima spice square and proudly spread across four floors. It’s winning factor is views of Atlas Mountain.

The menu contains local delights, I enjoy sampling unusual or dishes I don’t normally devour at home. Why not right, a chance to taste something different. I am fascinated by fresh flavours and new combinations.

STARTERS

The dishes are generous, full of flavour and have a real fresh tang to the ingredients. You definitely won’t go away feeling hungry from here.

The interior is contemporary, modern and the unobstructed 360 views are spectacular. Of course, it is an alcohol-free zone but there are plenty of drinks options to quench the thirst.

MAINS

Top to bottom: Chicken Breast marinated in spiced herb infused yoghurt, served with grilled vegetables with house-made harissa and chermoula / Nomad Couscous topped with slowly braised lemon and spiced infused beef

The view is spectacular and for when the evening cool breeze arrives you are given heavy hooded robes, my kinda place!

It’s a perfect venue to escape the hustle and bustle of the souks, elevated from the busy foot-flow and rest those weary shopping feet.

You can check out the full menu here, I highly recommend booking in advance and make sure you take your camera to capture those views.

Can you recommend any other rooftop restaurants in Marrakech? I would love some more suggestions!
