If you’re looking for a taste of France, look no further than Aubaine, tucked away from busy Regent Street.
Choosing a brunch location has a certain amount of pressure attached to it. Does the menu cater for everyone, is it bottomless, how difficult is it to reach? All important questions which must be answered to satisfy the winning criteria of great food, buzzing atmosphere and of course it has to be insta-worthy.
It’s important to have a location where you can stay as long as you like, there is no time limit to the table and there is a relaxed vibe to catch up with your loved ones.
The menu at Aubaine is extensive with the popular staples of eggs benedict, waffles and toasted brioche to accompany literally anything and the best bit…a selection of aperitifs to wash it all down with.
You won’t be disappointed here, whilst I think the Lobster Benedict could have been doubled in size, the flavours were all there and in abundance. The dishes don’t over face you and you can add as many sides as you wish. I recommend the Sweet Potato Fries they are insanely delicious.
In selecting this location, one question sprang to mind, “Why do we love brunch so much?” I asked a few of the troops and here is what they said:
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE INSTAFOODIE
Ok, so Instagram has us addicted to photos of attractive locations, it gives us new ideas of places we would like to visit and the food images just well, speak for themselves right? My Instagram for one is full of drooling foodie images.
IT’S A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO DRESS UP AND MEET THE GIRLS
Office wear be gone. Out come the jeans and heels teamed with an exquisite clutch. I couldn’t think of a more splendid time to rock the latest addition to my wardrobe.
IT’S TOTALLY ACCEPTABLE TO DRINK CHAMPAGNE AT 10:30AM
Well, it’s always lunchtime somewhere in the world! And whilst we wouldn’t traditionally sip bubbles at home over a bowl of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, it is completely normal to clink the glasses and say cheers over brunch!
If you’re looking for a superb location to help fuel you for a day-long shopping spree or a good start to a chilled Sunday, then this is the place for you. The prices are reasonable and you have a choice of eight different venues as Aubaine is dotted around the city. Take your pick!
What are your reasons for loving brunch? Do you have any others to add to this list?
I would love to hear about them!
